We held an international marine field course for students from University of Oulu and Umeå University. The field course was held in Ulkokrunni island, Ii Finland. During the course we learned more about plants growing underwater, different methods used in marine inventories, benthic fauna, marine geology and birds of the Bothnian Bay.
Spending time by the sea this summer? Great! The coast and archipelago of the Bothnian Bay is a truly beautiful place to visit and enjoy. The underwater nature is highly important for the overall health of the sea, take care of it and many generations after us will be able to enjoy the Bothnian Bay.
By noticing the species, reporting them and never releasing them back into the wild you can help stopping the spread of them in the Bothnian Bay.
